Almond Flapjacks recipe

An easy recipe with just four ingredients. These are great for the almond lover, but if you don't like almonds, try using chopped hazelnuts or walnuts instead both are just as tasty.


100g rolled oats
75g brown sugar
75g butter
25g chopped almonds


1. Preheat the oven to 220C/gas mark 7.

2. Line and grease the insides of an 18cm square cake tin.

3. Melt the butter in a saucepan. Mix the sugar in and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from the heat.

4. Add in the oats and almonds and mix together well.

5. Press the mixture down into the tin well and cook for 15 minutes.

6. Allow to cool and then cut into squares.

Sprinkle a few extra almonds over the top of the flapjacks whilst they're still warm from the oven for some extra crunch.
